Question: When the class made their own motors, was the copper coil of wire insulated or not?

We used magnet wire which is copper wire with an enamel on it. We just sanded the ends off. You can also use insulated wire as well. Here’s the link to the exploratorium recipe: http://www.exploratorium.edu/snacks/stripped_down_motor.html
